Well, I am writing this because I know that there are millions of people with an acne problem that just can't seem to go away. Yes, if you are like me, you have tried all the popular products. But what if I told you that you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars every month to get clear skin? In fact, you may not have to spend any money.
So, with all that said, here are my 6 simple steps to lighten my skin (yes, this is what I do to help lighten my skin):
1. Drink plenty of purified water. See, a lot of us with acne are still drinking all these sodas, which are high in acid, dyes, etc. Soda can really mess up your face. Ditch all sodas and other beverages on the market and stick only to purified water. Try these waters: Poland Springs, Volvic, Penta (face), Smart Water, or Dasani. Water does wonders for the body!
2. Drink a lot of green tea (at least 1-2 times a day). Green tea is rich in antioxidants that can help reduce acne problems. Try purchasing Celestial Seasonings green tea.
3. Eliminate any fried or fatty foods from your diet. Yes, I know many dermatologists will disagree with this. What I discovered is that when I stopped eating fried or fatty foods, my face automatically began to clear up and improve to the point where I received compliments almost every day. Fried foods contain too much fat, which can lead to large pimples on your face. Also, many fast food establishments use old lubricant over and over again. Old or reused lube is a big obstacle in your way if you're trying to get clear skin. Shit!
4. Eat plenty of vegetables (raw organic baby spinach is great) and fruit every day. Yes, I know you've heard this before, but some of you haven't yet. Only vegetables and fruits. Many vegetables and fruits contain antioxidants and vitamins that help heal and lighten the skin.
5. Use pure vitamin E oil (use Nature's Gate brand) on your face. I tell you, it will improve your appearance in about two or three months. Vitamin E oil has all the healing and antioxidant properties that help cleanse the skin. Apply to the face every night before going to bed.
6. Eliminate all stress. I know that for some, stress can cause a lot of breakouts on the face. Some people do not handle stress well. You know what, let go of stress!
Enjoy these steps and take your time. Give yourself 3-6 months to see real improvements in your skin. For these steps to work properly, add each step to your daily routine. Each step must be performed daily. Check with your local dermatologist if you have any concerns.
